StandardVision proudly presents their first SV Showcase series: Three animated films, guest curated by Think Tank Gallery.Caffeine by Danae Diaz & Patricia LunaLook-See by Daniel SavageWeird Weather by Iain ActonOn ViewOctober 6 – November 6Thursday – Sunday9pm – Midnight#SVLA1 screen at the Courtyard Marriott901 W. Olympic Blvd – Los Angeles CAThe newly developed SV Showcase program aims to present the work of emerging and established artists in a site-specific month long exhibition turned installation on the #SVLA1 screen in Downtown Los Angeles. Curated by a different gallery or organization each month, the program will regularly occupy the 9pm - Midnight timeslot of the 4-story screen, encouraging audiences to participate in a new and innovative outdoor exhibition experience. For our first collaboration, guest curator Jacob Patterson of Think Tank Gallery invites four international artists to grace our screen with three uniquely animated short films.  The connecting fabric of these three pieces lies in both their delicate yet simplistic aesthetic as well as an underlying sense of humor told through the animation itself. The films will be screened every 15 minutes for three hours between 9pm - Midnight at 901 W. Olympic Blvd in Downtown Los Angeles.

To celebrate the occasion, we are gathering with the artists, curators and anyone else who would like to join in on the corner of Olympic Ave. and Francisco St. beneath the exhibition from 9p.m.-midnight on Saturday night, the 8th of October. The art will be easily visible from anywhere in the area, thus one can sit and enjoy the view from one of the nearby dining establishments.About the films:
