SV Presents: Visible Night Life by Ouida Angelica Biddle and Miles Martinez
On October 3, 2016, StandardVision launches a new site-specific animated public art video by Ouida Angelica Biddle and Miles Martinez entitled ’Visible Night Life’ for the latest installment in the SV Presents series; a new art initiative showcasing the work of innovative visual artists working within the community.Inspired by Los Angeles’ unique patches of development, which abruptly give way to both wilderness and wildness, ‘Visible Night Life’ will play at the top of every hour on the Marriott Courtyard Hotel in downtown, Los Angeles. Biddle and Martinez begin ‘Visible Night Life’ with an architectural visualization of the site and then use VFX to break through immediate reality by showing our chaotic habitat giving way to flowing abstractions of nature and light.Ouida Angelica Biddle is an architect-artist who applies technology used in design and commercial industries to stories about the production of material reality. She has created videos and installations for Eyebeam, the Nordic House in Iceland, PIN- UP Magazine, DIS Magazine, Suzanne Geiss Gallery, Museum of Art and Design New York, and Storefront for Art and Architecture. She graduated from Sci Arc in 2005.Miles Martinez is an artist and DJ based in Los Angeles, CA working in computer graphics, music, and video.
