Please join Vellum LA on Thursday, December 9 from 7-9 pm for the opening reception of Color :: Field, the gallery’s inaugural NFT exhibition and online auction in partnership with SuperRare and StandardVision at their recently completed gallery space on Melrose Avenue.
Color :: Field features the work of 8 influential new media and digital artists whose works draw a thread between contemporary digital art and the iconic Color Field movement of the 20th century. The artworks included in this exhibition reveal the parallels between this abstract painting and digital abstraction, and pose new arguments about the interplay of color, gesture, and form in reality suffused in the virtual.

The exhibition will include works by Andy Gilmore, IX Shells, LIA, Zach Lieberman, Nicolas Sassoon, Alida Sun, Anne Vieux, and Zouassi.
The private viewing reception on Dec 9 will also feature a one-day immersive pop-up installation of CONTINUUM by Krista Kim. CONTINUUM is a meditative generated animation by Krista Kim in collaboration with Efren Mur. With original music composed by Smashing Pumpkins guitarist Jeff Schroeder, CONTINUUM will be displayed on a 600 sq ft panoramic LED wall for one night only.
