SV Presents: Finding Whimsical Optimism Amidst Lockdown with Ondrej Zunka’s DOGUE
StandardVision’s most recent artist feature on the digital facade at the Courtyard Marriott L.A. Live is a playfully colorful animation from London-based 3D artist Ondrej Zunka titled DOGUE. The piece is part of a larger collection which Zunka created in response to restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Living in London amidst lockdown and a typically dreary British winter, Ondrej dove into exploring and creating a collection of works titled "I'D RATHER BE OUTSIDE," a vibrant series of speculative realities celebrating flora, fauna and Zunka’s attempts to find optimism amidst the pandemic in order to face the future ahead. Recently 6 of the works from Zunka’s series debuted on Nifty Gateway as limited edition NFTs, further expanding the reach of this new medium within digital art and art collection.
Recognized for his imaginative 3D animations, Zunka began experimenting with design and digital art out of disillusion with the Master of Economy and System Engineering degree he graduated with. After working with various esteemed design studios around the world, he now runs his own design practice based in London as a director and a 3D artist. He has worked on projects for brands including Nike, Jordan, Puma, Apple, Burberry, MTV, Wacom and Prada.
Catch Zunka’s playful work DOGUE on view at the digital facade on the Courtyard Marriott L.A. Live through April 4th, and learn more about his work by visiting his website.
