StandardVision Brings #BetweenArtAndQuarantine to the Big Screen
On View:
#SVLA1 Screen at the Courtyard Marriott
901 W. Olympic Blvd. - Los Angeles, CA
Playing every 10 minutes from May 13th - June 13th
In cultural solidarity with current events, StandardVision is showcasing a curated series of iconic artwork recreations made with every-day items by people self-quarantining in their homes. Originally started by a Dutch Instagram account, Tussen Kunst & Quarantaine (or Between Art and Quarantine), the recreation challenge has been adapted by museums around the world and has since reached and inspired millions.

Recreation by Maria Rosenblatt
StandardVision is thrilled to share the new larger-than-life versions of these works on the SVLA-1 screen at the Courtyard Marriott in Downtown LA. People from around the world have eagerly participated in this challenge and StandardVisions’s goal is to provide an opportunity to extend the visibility of these efforts to the public streets of Los Angeles on a much larger physical scale. StandardVision is also partnering with the Los Angeles based institution, The Getty Museum, to share artistic recreations from the Getty collection as part of the #GettyMuseumChallenge.

Starting today, the showcase will be on display every ten minutes from 6a.m. through 2a.m. daily through June 13. In sharing these works with the community, StandardVision hopes to further encourage the sharing of art and creativity during these challenging times.
