StandardVision x Sacramento’s New Natural Resources Headquarters: Creating an Immersive Digital Display Experience

StandardVision recently collaborated with architect AC Martin, Turner Construction, and Dyson & Womack on the creation of a colossal digital canvas for the lobby inside the New Natural Resources Headquarters Building in Sacramento, CA. The monumental 4K facade is the perfect complement to the building’s double-height lobby, and features a public art program curated by Dyson & Womack specifically for the California Natural Resources Agency.

Unparalleled Hardware Integration

With the goal of achieving complete integration with the architecture within the lobby, StandardVision collaborated with architect AC Martin to provide a custom, ultra-fine pitch digital display. Its razor-thin depth and mounting solution provided an unparalleled separation between the building facade and display to meet ADA standards while extending the lifespan of the soaring display.

A Unique Digital Art Program, Powered by SVRunner

In support of solidifying the iconic display as a platform built for the public, StandardVision implemented its proprietary state-of-the-art content management system SVRunner as a responsive playback solution to facilitate custom-made dynamic transitions which seamlessly move through a range of client assets. From civic messaging and branded experiences to an art program which celebrates California artists working in digital media curated by Dyson & Womack, SVRunner gives the platform seemingly endless variations which result in unique viewing experiences with each visit.

For the unveiling of the lobby display, StandardVision's team of digital art consultants curated a vivid launch program of artwork to celebrate the remarkable display. StandardVision's site-specific program of stunning naturescapes features a range of work by California-based and international artists across various disciplines including video art, mixed media, and 3D animation.
