StandardVision will introduce Luma Canvas, a museum-grade LED display for digital art and NFTs, at Vellum LA’s inaugural exhibition at the LA Art Show which runs July 29th through August 1st. Designed as a high end alternative to the consumer models of digital display screens currently on the market, Luma Canvas boasts resilient technology designed to operate 24/7 and features direct emissive illumination technology to create a separation between lit and dark surfaces for increased contrast perception. Included in the display is a software system that can connect directly to a user’s crypto wallet, queue up artwork, and manage programmable time based art.

Vellum LA, the first physical gallery for NFT-backed digital art in Los Angeles, launching in September, presents Sea Change, a physical NFT exhibition and online auction in partnership with SuperRare and powered by Luma Canvas at the LA Art Show from July 29 to August 1. Sea Change features work by 12 new media and digital artists whose work embraces our inevitable technological immersion, exploring the new language, materiality, and logic of the metaverse.

With the goal of bridging the gap between the physical and digital worlds and crypto and traditional art collectors, Vellum LA’s Sea Change at the LA Art Show will showcase work that exists at the intersection of both worlds. Hoping to meaningfully situate the digital and crypto art communities within the context of art history while also educating the public on the potential of NFTs to impact the future of art, the exhibition will be fully outfitted with StandardVision’s state-of-the-art Luma Canvas displays, offering a one-of-a-kind viewing experience unlike that of any traditional exhibition.

Luma Canvas is available for purchase in a variety of sizes for different viewing environments and artwork types, with custom sizing available upon request. Contact our sales team today to learn more, and get tickets to the LA Art Show here.
