StandardVision’s latest artist spotlight features poetically transfixing images from LA-based photographer Arianna Lago on the SVLA1 screen in downtown Los Angeles.

Lago’s photographs evoke a quiet observation of nature and a search for beauty in the mundane. Her vision comes from a naturalistic approach which works within a broad scope of subjects ranging from still life and fashion to documentary and travel photography. Her style manipulates organic compositions in which she applies a strong sensibility to color, and remains inspired by the Italian landscapes and atmosphere where she was born and grew up. Using mostly 35mm, her work conveys an effortless fragility and an organic, painterly feel.

After graduating in Sound Art and Design from the University of the Arts in London, Lago began her career as a visual effects artist in advertising and film production. After years in the industry, Lago decided to quit in order to pursue her passion for photography. She is currently based in Los Angeles, and her work has recently been featured on Atmos magazine, Dior Magazine and Vogue italia.
