Future Stages Recap: An Immersive & Interactive Holiday Event Hosted by StandardVision and SVStudios

With the goal of closing out 2022 with an immersive and arts-driven celebratory event, StandardVision leveraged our Los Angeles-based virtual production headquarters SVStudios to present Future Stages, an evening of immersive and interactive performance, digital art, film screenings and more.

Performance piece by Katherine Helen Fisher in collaboration with Chelsi Cocking

Comprised of interactive, digitally-driven new media pieces curated by Caroline Haydon and directed by Katherine Helen Fisher, Future Stages expands concepts of performance by exploring what it means to work with emergent technologies. As a collection, Future Stages researches the growing relationship between our bodies and the digital world.

The LA premiere screening of <No One> by Eliot Lee Hazel and Aliona Kononova

The evening began with the LA premiere screening of the film <No One> by Eliot Lee Hazel and Aliona Kononova displayed on the large-scale 4K Panoramic LED Stage at SVStudios. The 10,000 square foot modular flex space was then transformed into an immersive and activated stage for digitally-driven performance pieces which leveraged interactive software and SVStudios’ multitude of monolithic LED displays.

Culminating in an opportunity for attendees to immerse themselves in the vivid, interactive interfaces featured in the artworks, Future Stages represented StandardVision’s longstanding intention of bringing shared art experiences to the community. As our team has moved into 2023, StandardVision has even greater goals to produce, curate, and collaborate on immersive and experiential art activations which can inspire the community and transform public space.
