Please join us next Thursday, February 17, for the opening reception of autonomous AI artist Botto's first solo show, The Decentralized Unicists. Curated by Jesse Damiani and Sinziana Velicescu, The Decentralized Unicists is the first solo show ever by a "decentralized autonomous artist." Botto is an algorithm that produces work based on feedback from a community of surrounding stakeholders.
As the official technology partner for Vellum LA, StandardVision's Luma Canvas displays will (literally) help bring this digital-born artist into a physical gallery setting—extending the social experiment intimated by the Botto community. In this act, Botto becomes an emissary artist from the future, revealing how the new modes by which art, emerging technologies, and society might interact in the years (or days) to come.
RSVP & proof of vaccination will be required for entry. An invite-only VIP collectors preview will be held an hour prior, from 6-7 PM.
