Fvckrender’s SHIFT Displayed on StandardVision Screens to Coincide with NFT Auction on Sotheby’s

StandardVision recently featured H+ Creative artist Fvckrender on several large-scale digital facades to coincide with the drop of his NFT titled SHIFT through Sotheby’s. Sotheby’s landmark digital media auction Natively Digital: A Curated NFT Sale, will showcase both commissioned and existing NFTs from a variety of digital artists. Together, the sale demonstrates the breadth of mediums, creativity, and artistic expression made possible by NFTs. The sale is hosted by Sotheby’s and co-curated with Robert Alice, a pioneering artist himself, and features artists such as Casey Reas, Ryoji Ikeda, Kevin McCoy, PAK, and more.

StandardVision displayed Fvckrender’s SHIFT on the large-scale digital facade at the Courtyard Marriott L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles as well as within a pop up experiential space at StandardVision’s virtual production headquarters, SV Studios, creating a unique viewing experience which activated the iridescent, immersive work.

About the piece, the artist explains that SHIFT represents a calm after a storm when one is able to step back and truly comprehend one’s surroundings. Fluorescent tranquility, a figure continuously emerging from and sinking into a viscous, galaxy-like substance—the piece encompasses a sense of peace and calm both within the individual and his environment.

For Fvckrender, NFT’s have represented a validation and acknowledgement of the inherent value of digital art: “The fact that we 'digital' artists are being recognized, as we have worked so hard for so long only to get turned down by so many galleries, it's a paradigm shift in our existence. We have been relegated to a category outside of fine art, but our impact has been much more global. Look at the commercials, films, products, and social media pages that people love and there are digital artists behind them. NFTs allow for the value we have created on culture to be returned to us financially and for that, I am eternally grateful.”
