An Experiential Landmark in the Heart of Charlotte
Crescent Communities and Ally Financial commissioned StandardVision to design an immersive corporate experience for the state-of-the-art Ally Charlotte Center in Charlotte, NC. StandardVision drew inspiration from the local area and community, creating an installation that resonates with the innovative spirit of its tenants and the city itself. Beyond activating the interior lobby, StandardVision also designed and implemented a multi-story immersive light tunnel, embodying Ally’s commitment to transparency and authenticity.
Geode: A Living Data-Driven Artwork
Starting at the lobby level, StandardVision was commissioned to create Geode, a permanent, data-driven art installation that greets both tenants and visitors. Geode is a captivating, site-specific animation that converts demographic, cultural, environmental, and geographic data from Charlotte, NC, into digital art. This piece subtly conveys a forward-looking and inspiring perspective on the city's quality of life.
A Multi-Angle Viewing Experience
Geode is a distinctive lenticular artwork made of 32 high-resolution LED digital panels arranged in alternating columns, offering a mesmerizing two-way viewing experience that changes with the viewer’s position, perspective, and time passed. Its color scheme, chosen for data visualization, conceptually matches the datasets and forms a cohesive, evergreen palette. This creates a dynamic and constantly evolving display of beauty, providing every visitor with a striking and relevant focal point.
The Light Tunnel at Charlotte Center
Aiming to uplift and inspire community engagement in Charlotte, NC, StandardVision collaborated with Ally Financial to design a dual-facing, interactive light tunnel. This installation offers an immersive experience inside while enabling live interaction visible from outside, at all angles. Its tri-layered, multimodal display allows for varied viewing angles and simultaneous perspectives, accommodating close-up and distant observers within a single creative framework.
Elevating Brand Identity With LED Technology
StandardVision worked closely with Ally to develop a dynamic content suite for the digital platform, featuring engaging designs, custom features, and regular updates to ensure continuous engagement. StandardVision's SVRunner software enables immediate transitions between community messaging, custom motion-art exhibits, and branded facade enhancements. StandardVision’s innovative digital designs at the iconic Ally Charlotte Center attract tenants and visitors like, transforming the space into a landmark for accessible, immersive art in Charlotte.
